For example, if you leave the tail end of your car in the path of the descending garage door, the door will stop moving before it can do damage to your vehicle.
For added peace of mind, the PD210D has lights that will automatically turn on when the infrared beam is broken, and a manual release lever means you can operate the door in a power outage.
